MILESTONES OF KELAB MALAYSIA OF THAILAND

 

3^rd. November 1990             -           Kelab Malaysia of Thailand was formed with the

                                                        encouragement and support of then Ambassador

of Malaysia to Thailand, His Excellency, Dato Kamarudin bin Abu and Datin Jamaiyah.

 

   29^th. August 1991                  -           Idea of ASEAN NITE was mooted during one of

                                                            Kelab Malaysia of Thailand functions held at Royal

                                                            Bangkok Sports Club.

 

   21^st. September 1991            -           Kelab Malaysia of Thailand took the initiative to

                                                            host 1^st. ASEAN NITE with other ASEAN Clubs in

                                                            Thailand at Shangri-la Hotel, Bangkok.

The special guests of honour included dignitary from the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand the ASEAN Ambassadors.

More than 600 people of various nationalities attended this auspicious function.

 

 October 1996                         -           Kelab Malaysia of Thailand organized the 5^th.

                                                            ASEAN NITE at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

 

18^th. November 2000               -           Kelab Malaysia of Thailand hosted the 9^th. ASEAN NITE at Grand Ballroom of Royal Orchid Sheraton

                                                            Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

All the nine ASEAN Ambassadors and the Guest of Honour, Thai Foreign Affairs Minister, Surin Pitsuwan attended.
